It was the year 1982 when, Giovanni Bortoluzzi, a fish wholesaler's
son, stopped working for a Bank in Venice and decided to take
over a small restaurant, far from the touristic area, with his
brother Guido, who came back after 10 years from Canada.
The Antiche Carampane started working and it met with success.
Since 1997 the sister of Giovanni, Mrs Piera Bortoluzzi Librai,
has been managed the restaurant with her son Francesco.
